Worked on the toeverything/AFFiNE repository to resolve a Renovate Bot configuration validation issue, focusing on improving automated dependency management. Addressed the problem by isolating the wildcard in the matchPackageNames field and relocating negated patterns to excludePackagePatterns within the JSON configuration, ensuring proper validation and restoring automated update workflows. Utilized configuration management and dependency management skills to broaden the scope of non-major npm package updates while explicitly excluding certain packages. Verified the solution locally using renovate-config-validator, which reduced manual maintenance and stabilized continuous integration processes. The work enhanced automation reliability and maintained up-to-date dependencies without introducing new features.
