Working primarily in Python, Chayton focused on API integration and configuration management to add Dify as a new backend within the rag module. This approach isolated the feature’s scope, reducing risk and simplifying future maintenance while enabling faster onboarding of additional providers. The integration improved document retrieval quality and flexibility, aligning with business goals to broaden backend support. Chayton’s work demonstrated a clear extension path for future providers, reflecting a thoughtful and maintainable approach to backend architecture and scalability.
