Delivered a targeted enhancement to the edge-core/sonic-buildimage repository by implementing Broadcom ASIC DHCP Trap Configuration. Focused on improving DHCP management and device provisioning, the work introduced the use of dhcp_l2 and dhcpv6_l2 traps through updates to the copp_cfg.j2 template. Leveraging skills in bash scripting, network configuration, and Jinja2 template rendering, the solution automated trap configuration for Broadcom-based devices, reducing manual intervention and increasing network resilience. The feature was version-controlled and integrated without introducing new bugs, reflecting a precise and maintainable approach to network feature delivery within a complex, hardware-specific configuration management environment.
