During May 2025, Yemike contributed to the aws/amazon-ecs-ami repository by updating the default ECS agent version in the project’s Infrastructure as Code configuration. Using HCL, Yemike modified variables.pkr.hcl to ensure that new Amazon Machine Images are provisioned with ECS agent version 1.93.1, replacing the previous default of 1.93.0. This targeted change aligned the AMIs with current agent support and security requirements, helping maintain operational consistency across deployments. The work focused on a single feature update, with no bug fixes reported during the period, and demonstrated a precise application of Infrastructure as Code principles to support ongoing platform reliability.
