Developed and delivered the Pocket Casts integration for the music-assistant/server repository, expanding the platform’s podcast provider catalog to include seamless streaming, subscribing, browsing, and episode management directly from Pocket Casts. Leveraged Python for backend development, focusing on robust API integration and asynchronous programming to synchronize playback status via the Pocket Casts API, ensuring consistent user experience across devices and sessions. This work enhanced content coverage and reduced friction for Pocket Casts users, while also establishing a scalable foundation for future provider integrations and analytics. The implementation addressed both user-facing functionality and backend reliability within a single feature release.
