Worked on expanding the fboss CentOS 9.0 distribution image by integrating essential firmware and framebuffer utilities, including flashrom, libgpiod-utils, and libaio, to enhance device provisioning and maintenance workflows. Focused on Linux system administration and package management, the developer implemented and validated the installation of these utilities, enabling new fw_utils and fixmyfboss functionality. The changes were contributed to the facebook/fboss repository, with thorough pre-submission linting, testing, and on-device verification to ensure reliability. Collaboration with reviewers and successful code review processes ensured the feature was robust, addressing the need for improved firmware management within the CentOS 9.0 environment.
