Worked on the 1024pix/pix-site repository to enhance user experience by addressing legacy support form routing issues. Focused on stabilizing navigation for users accessing outdated URLs, the developer implemented two nginx rewrite rules to create permanent redirects from old support form links to the updated contact form. This DevOps-driven solution ensured correct routing, preserved SEO value by maintaining link equity, and minimized broken links. By leveraging web server configuration skills and expertise in nginx, the work reduced user friction and helped decrease unnecessary support tickets, resulting in a smoother transition for users and improved maintainability of the site’s support infrastructure.
