Developed a feature for the Difegue/LANraragi repository that enhances the auto-next-page reading experience by integrating the Screen Wake Lock API using JavaScript and Web APIs. The implementation requests a wake lock when autoscrolling begins and releases it when autoscrolling ends, ensuring the device display remains active throughout continuous reading sessions. This approach eliminates interruptions caused by the device entering an idle state, directly supporting uninterrupted user engagement. The work included creating helper functions to manage the wake lock lifecycle and performing code cleanup by removing unnecessary event listeners, resulting in improved maintainability and a smoother frontend development workflow.
