January 2026 monthly summary for RedHatQE/openshift-virtualization-tests focused on stabilizing CI by quarantining flaky SR-IOV+VLAN tests. The quarantine prevents CI disruptions while cluster-specific issues are addressed (CNV-75730). This work preserves test feedback quality and allows the rest of the suite to run reliably. The quarantine is linked to the commit 8b3dcc6b537b73f798fe2c70e37487d71b11333b and will be revisited once the cluster issues are resolved.

December 2025: Delivered focused test infra improvements and cleanup for RedHatQE/openshift-virtualization-tests, driving reliability, efficiency, and business value. Implemented a dedicated special_infra marker for jumbo tests to ensure validation only on clusters that support jumbo frames and streamlined jumbo-related testing by removing a per-test jumbo marker. Cleaned up the network upgrade test suite by removing three redundant tests and associated fixtures, reducing dependency complexity and CI maintenance. These changes improve test accuracy, reduce false negatives on incompatible clusters, and accelerate feedback for feature validation in production-like environments.
