Worked on enhancing the kvcache-ai/sglang repository by implementing IGW Routing with a gRPC router, focusing on backend development using Rust and gRPC technologies. Developed a solution that enables automatic IGW activation when service discovery is enabled, broadening the application’s routing flexibility and simplifying deployment processes. Refactored the router initialization logic to support both gRPC and IGW modes, allowing for more adaptable traffic routing based on service discovery. The work improved maintainability and traceability by aligning with the project’s pull request workflow, resulting in a more robust and flexible routing infrastructure without introducing new bugs during the development period.
