Developed and delivered a dynamic interface language feature for the miraheze/mw-config repository, enabling the MediaWiki UI to automatically render in the viewer’s preferred language using the USERLANGUAGE magic word. This work involved configuring PHP back end logic to integrate the new setting into the managewiki/settings workflow, supporting multilingual usability and aligning with internationalization objectives. The implementation required close cross-team collaboration, including co-authoring a pull request and coordinating via Discord. Performance considerations were addressed by documenting potential parser cache impacts. The project demonstrated proficiency in MediaWiki configuration and PHP, focusing on enhancing user experience for diverse language audiences.
