During March 2025, contributed a focused UI enhancement to the crawl/crawl repository by implementing an expiring status suffix within the web tile interface. This feature, developed in C++ with an emphasis on UI development, adds an '(expiring)' label to status descriptions when a tile is nearing expiration, thereby improving user awareness of time-sensitive states. The change was scoped to a single file, tileweb.cc, ensuring a straightforward review process and minimizing rollout risk. By integrating this patch-level update, the work addressed a specific user experience gap, reducing the likelihood of missed actions and support queries related to expiring tile statuses.
