Over a two-month period, contributed to the grafana/mcp-go repository by developing and maintaining backend features using Go. Built a Roots feature that enables both HTTP and Stdio clients to handle roots list requests, introducing a RootsHandler interface and supporting methods, along with comprehensive tests to ensure robust functionality. Subsequently, addressed a critical bug affecting the notifications system, resolving an issue where notifications disrupted client tool executions and adding regression tests to safeguard future stability. Demonstrated skills in API development, backend engineering, and testing, focusing on reliability and maintainability while delivering targeted improvements to the codebase within a short timeframe.
