Yurina Aluk enhanced the tf-nira/registration-client repository by developing features to improve acknowledgment slip content and QR code generation for thermal printers, focusing on accurate data representation and scan reliability. She updated template generators and constants management to support new applicant fields, ensuring consistency across the printing workflow. In December, Yurina implemented internationalization support, enabling selection of templates for residents outside Uganda and adding localization labels in tf-nira/artifactory-ref-impl. Using Java, Spring Boot, and properties files, she also improved slip readability by defaulting empty demographic fields to N/A. Her work demonstrated thoughtful backend development and robust printer integration.
