Worked on the terraform-ibm-monitoring-agent repository to enhance the configurability of monitoring agent deployments within Kubernetes clusters. Delivered a feature that allows operators to adjust pod scheduling and rolling update strategies by making priority_class_name, priority_class_value, max_surge, and max_unavailable configurable through Terraform inputs. This approach leveraged Infrastructure as Code principles and DevOps practices, using Go and HCL to integrate seamlessly with existing deployment workflows. The changes addressed the need for greater deployment flexibility and resilience, enabling safer and more efficient rolling updates while giving operators finer control over pod eviction and scheduling in diverse Kubernetes environments.
2025-09 monthly summary for the terraform-ibm-monitoring-agent module. Delivered configurability for daemonset deployment, enabling operators to tune pod scheduling and rolling updates, thereby improving cluster reliability and deployment resilience across Kubernetes environments.
