During April 2026, contributed to the apache/apisix repository by enhancing the Brotli Compression Plugin to preserve ETag and Last-Modified headers in Brotli-compressed responses. This work involved careful handling of both weak and strong ETags to ensure accurate HTTP caching and response validation. Comprehensive test coverage was added to validate the new header preservation behavior across common cache scenarios, improving cache reliability and client-side efficiency. The implementation leveraged Lua for backend development and API integration, demonstrating a strong understanding of HTTP caching semantics and test-driven development practices. No bugs were fixed during this period, with focus on feature delivery.
