During February 2026, Zac Law developed a Terraform State Metadata Enrichment feature for the port-labs/ocean repository, focusing on enhancing traceability between Terraform state files and Terraform Cloud constructs. He implemented enrichment logic in the integration layer using Python, ensuring that both dictionary and non-dictionary state content could be robustly handled. This approach appended workspace and state-version metadata to state files during retrieval, enabling accurate mapping of resources and supporting governance and change tracking. Zac also updated automated tests to validate metadata presence, demonstrating depth in backend development, API integration, and testing while addressing cross-environment audits and policy-driven governance needs.
