During January 2025, Zeal focused on enhancing security and reliability for external service routing in the ChristianLempa/boilerplates repository. Zeal implemented TLS-enabled routing by separating Traefik’s 'web' and 'websecure' entry points and integrating a Cloudflare certificate resolver, enabling end-to-end HTTPS for external services. This work involved configuring Traefik using YAML and applying DevOps best practices to manage infrastructure as code. The changes improved the security posture of external traffic by ensuring managed certificate handling and proper TLS termination. The scope of work was targeted, addressing a single feature with depth and demonstrating solid understanding of infrastructure and secure service delivery.
