Worked on improving the reliability of BFD VRF session establishment in the edge-core/sonic-buildimage repository, focusing on networking environments using VRF-lite. Addressed a bug where malformed sessions and 'wrong vrfid' errors disrupted BFD operation by refining the VRFID logic to use more reliable interface information. Delivered a targeted patch for FRR-based systems, ensuring stable BFD session continuity and reducing troubleshooting overhead. Validated the solution across VRF-lite contexts to maintain compatibility with FRR and VRF handling. Demonstrated a patch-driven workflow with clear commit practices, leveraging expertise in C, BFD, and networking protocols to enhance system robustness and business value.
