Worked on stabilizing editor session persistence within the eclipsesource/theia repository, focusing on resolving issues related to saving and restoring editor view state. Addressed the Editor View State Persistence Bug by ensuring that storeViewState and restoreViewState functions reliably persist and recover the editor’s state, thereby preventing data loss and incorrect editor presentation across sessions. Utilized TypeScript for debugging and implementing the fix within a large-scale IDE development environment. The work involved careful analysis of persistent state management and integration with Git-based workflows, resulting in improved session stability and a more consistent user experience for developers using the Theia platform.
