Developed and delivered a robust chat input feature for moltbot/moltbot, focusing on preserving IME composition state for multilingual users, particularly those using CJK input methods. Addressed the challenge of input loss during UI re-renders by deferring draft synchronization and maintaining text integrity throughout the composition process. The solution was implemented using React and TypeScript, with careful attention to edge cases and user experience stability. Merged the feature with clear commit documentation, including co-authorship and review notes, to enhance release readiness and traceability. This work improved the reliability of chat input for diverse users without introducing new bugs or regressions.
