During July 2025, Zheng Yu contributed to the geerlingguy/linux repository with a targeted stability improvement in the JFS kernel subsystem. Focusing on memory management and bug fixing in C, Zheng addressed a memory leak in the dbAllocCtl function by ensuring metapage reference counts are properly decremented using release_metapage() when specific conditions are met. This change prevents premature exit leaks and enhances runtime reliability, especially under high-load scenarios.
