Zicong Mei worked on the GoogleCloudPlatform/magic-modules repository, focusing on improving the reliability of GKE blue-green upgrade workflows. During this period, Zicong delivered a targeted bug fix that enforced mutual exclusivity between standard and autoscaled rollout policies, addressing a configuration issue that could lead to downtime. The solution involved stabilizing policy logic within Terraform modules, ensuring that only one rollout policy could be set at a time. This work demonstrated a strong grasp of DevOps practices, Kubernetes upgrade concepts, and Go programming. The depth of the fix contributed to more robust upgrade processes and reduced operational risk in production environments.
