In March 2026, Bilyikabel contributed to the osmandapp/OsmAnd repository by developing automated UI layout verification tests for landscape grid mode. Using Kotlin and Android UI testing frameworks, Bilyikabel validated the placement, non-overlapping behavior, and stability of key widgets such as search, compass, alerts, and the transparency slider when new widgets are introduced. This work focused on ensuring reliable UI behavior across landscape orientations, with test traceability maintained through linked commits. By expanding regression coverage and automating cross-widget layout validation, Bilyikabel improved release readiness and reduced the risk of visual regressions, demonstrating depth in UI layout management and test automation.
