Worked on enhancing the OAuth authentication subsystem in the better-auth/better-auth repository by implementing a targeted database indexing feature. Focused on schema management and database design, the work involved adding indexes to foreign key fields within the OAuth provider schema using TypeScript. This approach improved query performance and reinforced referential integrity, laying a stronger foundation for future scalability and maintainability. The contribution was clearly documented and developed collaboratively, emphasizing both performance optimization and data integrity. Testing was incorporated to validate the changes, ensuring the subsystem’s reliability. The work addressed a specific performance bottleneck and contributed to the project’s long-term robustness.
