Worked on enhancing deployment configurability for the webrecorder/browsertrix repository by implementing a feature that allows users to specify MongoDB storage size directly within the Helm chart. Leveraging DevOps practices and expertise in Kubernetes and YAML, the developer introduced a configurable mongo_storage value, enabling deployment-time control over storage allocation. This approach improved scalability and resource management, allowing for more consistent and cost-effective deployments across different environments. No major bugs were addressed during this period, but ongoing monitoring and backlog tracking ensured continued reliability. The work focused on simplifying user deployment processes and reducing administrative overhead through infrastructure-as-code improvements.
