Worked on the kubeflow/pipelines repository to enhance the reliability and security of directory artifact downloads in Kubeflow Pipelines v2. Developed a fallback mechanism that packages directory artifacts as tar.gz files, addressing issues with failed downloads and preventing 500 NoSuchKey errors. Applied Node.js and TypeScript to implement path traversal protections, sanitize tar entries, and ensure RFC 5987-compliant Content-Disposition headers for safer, user-friendly filenames. Improved compatibility with MinIO by aligning with recent API changes and adding runtime guards. Focused on robust testing, introducing both unit and integration tests to validate new features and reduce regression risk across artifact download workflows.
