Worked on the openstack-k8s-operators/openstack-operator repository to deliver automated Galera root password generation, streamlining secret management for OpenStack control plane deployments. Developed a workflow in Go and Kubernetes that enables deployments without pre-defined Galera secrets, allowing the operator to generate MariaDB root passwords automatically. This approach reduced manual intervention, improved operational resilience, and addressed edge cases related to secret enforcement. By removing the requirement for non-blank Galera secrets and supporting password regeneration on existing deployments, the work enhanced both security and deployment readiness. The project demonstrated expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes operator development, and secure secret management workflows.
