During July 2025, Boshiyu focused on enhancing RDMA driver reliability in the geerlingguy/linux repository, addressing critical stability issues in kernel-level networking. Working primarily in C, with expertise in device drivers and kernel development, Boshiyu delivered targeted bug fixes that improved RDMA initialization safety and resource management. By ensuring the init_kernel_qp return value was properly checked and resources freed on failure, and by explicitly setting the QPN for GSI QP creation, Boshiyu reduced the risk of resource leaks and unreliable RDMA behavior. This work contributed to more robust, high-throughput networking, supporting stable and scalable compute workloads in production environments.

July 2025 monthly summary for geerlingguy/linux focusing on RDMA reliability improvements and stability. Delivered targeted fixes in the RDMA/erdma path, improving kernel initialization safety and QPN handling to ensure robust high-performance networking. The work reduces risk of resource leaks and unreliable RDMA behavior in production environments, supporting stable, scalable compute workloads.
