During May 2025, Shubhamsaboo focused on enhancing the adk-python repository by improving the reliability and safety of JSON serialization in backend systems. Shubham addressed the challenge of handling international content by updating the serialization logic to support non-ASCII characters, using Python and JSON serialization techniques. The improvements included applying ensure_ascii=False in the _safe_json_serialize function and extending this safer approach to function-call parameter handling. This work established a consistent and robust method for processing diverse data, reducing the risk of data corruption in API integration scenarios. The month’s efforts laid essential groundwork for safer and more internationalized API usage.
