During June 2025, contributed to the organicmaps/organicmaps repository by developing an Arabic search normalization enhancement focused on improving the accuracy and robustness of Arabic query processing. The work involved refining string manipulation logic in C++ to better handle Arabic characters, digits, diacritics, and honorifics, ensuring that search results are more reliable and comprehensive for Arabic-speaking users. Emphasizing internationalization and Unicode support, the developer implemented extensive test coverage to validate edge cases and maintain code quality. This approach demonstrated a commitment to maintainability and test-driven development, resulting in a more resilient search experience tailored to the complexities of Arabic input.
