During December 2024, Distdev focused on backend development for the aws/rolesanywhere-credential-helper repository, implementing a feature to improve error handling and logging for certificate data reading. Using Go, Distdev enhanced the system’s ability to capture and log errors during certificate processing, which improved debugging and tracing for operational incidents. The technical approach centered on robust error detection and detailed logging, laying the foundation for future observability and metrics collection.
