Worked on the potiuk/airflow repository to address a critical issue in the authentication flow by fixing the FAB authentication manager’s get_id method to consistently return a string, as required by downstream processes. This backend development task involved Python and focused on improving type safety within authentication logic. To ensure long-term reliability, a targeted unit test was added to verify the corrected behavior and guard against future regressions. The change was delivered as a focused, minimal-risk fix, enhancing the stability of authentication and integration points. The work demonstrated attention to detail in authentication, backend development, and unit testing within a complex codebase.
