Worked on enhancing document retrieval and search functionality within the Alfresco/alfresco-community-repo by delivering improved category filtering in the Document Library. Focused on refining the logic to support nested categories, the solution enabled more accurate and efficient search results for end users. Leveraged JavaScript and full stack development skills to address the underlying issue referenced as Fix/apps 3306, stabilizing category filtering and preventing regressions in common scenarios. The code was merged and prepared for release, with thorough verification across search paths and category hierarchies, ultimately streamlining asset discovery and reducing manual filtering effort in document management workflows.
