Worked on the mozilla/glean repository to deliver a public MetricIdentifier API for the Rust Language Binding (RLB), enabling consumers to access and validate metric identifiers directly. The approach involved designing a public trait in Rust and implementing it for relevant metric types, with a focus on API design and robust testing. An integration test was added to ensure end-to-end correctness and visibility of the new API surface. This work addressed Bug 1934880 by improving accessibility and traceability of metric identifiers, supporting downstream analytics and aligning with ongoing efforts to enhance telemetry interoperability within the glean ecosystem.
