In February 2025, Ankit Aggarwal centralized the flow_description dimension within cost analytics for the mozilla/looker-spoke-default repository. By moving flow_description from mlops_flow_run_cost to mlops_flow_cost, Ankit enabled unified and consistent descriptions across all cost views, addressing fragmentation in reporting. He also extended flow_description to the flow_run_cost view, improving the accuracy of initial cost attribution and supporting end-to-end traceability. The work was implemented using LookML and data modeling techniques, demonstrating a focused approach to schema design and analytics consistency. Although the scope was limited to a single feature, the changes laid groundwork for more reliable dashboard reporting in Looker.
