In February 2025, Ankit Aggarwal centralized the flow_description dimension within cost analytics for the mozilla/looker-spoke-default repository, addressing the need for unified flow descriptions across all cost views. By moving flow_description from mlops_flow_run_cost to mlops_flow_cost and adding it to the flow_run_cost view, Ankit improved the consistency and traceability of cost attribution throughout the reporting pipeline. This work, implemented using LookML and leveraging data modeling best practices in Looker, laid the groundwork for more reliable and maintainable dashboard reporting. The changes were tracked under DENG-5180, reflecting a focused and well-scoped approach to feature development within analytics infrastructure.
