Worked on the primefaces/primeng repository, focusing on enhancing accessibility and user experience within the Tree component. Addressed a specific issue related to keyboard navigation by fixing the focus logic for virtual nodes, ensuring more reliable navigation for users who depend on keyboard input. The solution involved simplifying the existing focus logic, which improved both usability and accessibility for power users. Utilized TypeScript and front end development skills, with an emphasis on UI/UX design principles to deliver a targeted bug fix. This work contributed to a more accessible interface, aligning with best practices for inclusive web application development.
