Worked on the kubecost/cost-analyzer-helm-chart repository to implement enhanced dependency and license scanning by updating the WhiteSource configuration. Leveraged configuration management and DevOps skills to enable inheritance of scanning settings from another repository, centralizing policy enforcement and improving governance. Introduced local scan capabilities, which streamlined the CI/CD process and provided faster feedback for developers. Utilized JSON for configuration updates, ensuring more accurate and up-to-date dependency tracking while reducing the risk of license violations. The work focused on improving scanning coverage and speed, aligning with best practices for secure software delivery and maintaining traceable, auditable configuration changes within the project.
