Worked on the spring-projects/spring-kafka repository to deliver a feature that introduces an ABNORMAL stop reason for the ConsumerStoppedEvent, enhancing the system’s ability to report and monitor abnormal MLC stops. The implementation involved updating the event model and listener container logic in Java, as well as revising AsciiDoc documentation to ensure accurate user guidance. By enabling distinct visibility of abnormal stops in monitoring dashboards and logs, this backend development effort improved troubleshooting and incident response. The work demonstrated a focused approach to event handling and reliability, with all changes consolidated in a single commit to maintain clarity and traceability.
