Worked on the GDATASoftwareAG/vaas repository to deliver targeted dependency updates focused on rate limiter integration. Using Go and leveraging expertise in dependency management, updated the github_ratelimit and go-github libraries to their latest versions, enabling access to new features and security patches. Simplified the initialization process for the rate limiter client, which reduced setup complexity and minimized the risk of misconfiguration. These changes improved the repository’s reliability and compatibility, particularly under higher load, and contributed to better developer productivity. The work emphasized maintainability and security, aligning dependencies with current best practices while focusing on a single, well-defined feature enhancement.
