Worked on the sonic-net/sonic-buildimage repository to address a critical stability issue affecting orchestration processes. Investigated and resolved a bug where the absence of the /zmq_swss directory caused orchagent crashes by implementing logic to ensure the directory’s creation, thereby maintaining the availability of ZMQ IPC sockets. This patch, developed using Dockerfile and containerization techniques, improved system reliability and reduced downtime related to IPC socket initialization. Demonstrated a thorough workflow involving root cause analysis, targeted patch development, and clear commit messaging. The work reflected strong DevOps skills and contributed to the release readiness of the April 2026 software cycle.
