Worked on the slowkow/quarto-web repository to deliver an updated Open Social Comments extension, focusing on expanding its capabilities beyond Mastodon to include Bluesky support. The work involved renaming the extension, updating documentation, and revising the repository path to reflect its broader scope. Leveraging skills in configuration, configuration management, and documentation, the developer ensured the extension aligned with brand requirements and improved maintainability. YAML was used extensively for configuration updates, enabling seamless cross-platform social interaction. The changes addressed both technical and organizational needs, resulting in a more flexible and future-proof comments extension for the Quarto web publishing ecosystem.
