In January 2025, Barba focused on backend development for the dmjio/bun repository, addressing a critical issue in the bun-lambda runtime. They delivered a targeted bug fix to improve HTTP v2 event handling by ensuring multi-value query parameters are parsed and appended correctly to URLs. This work enhanced the accuracy and reliability of request parsing for serverless applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway. Barba utilized TypeScript to implement the solution, demonstrating a strong understanding of event-driven architectures. The depth of the fix contributed to more robust HTTP v2 workloads, directly improving the serverless experience for bun users.
