During November 2024, Artificial Sloth refactored the subtitle track label rendering logic in the SubtitlesMenu component of the stremio/stremio-web repository. Focusing on front end development with React and JavaScript, they simplified the UI code to improve clarity and maintainability for future enhancements. The updated SubtitlesMenu.js now provides a more robust and extensible approach to displaying subtitle labels, making it easier for future contributors to add features or modify behavior. While the work was limited to a single feature over one month, the targeted refactor addressed code complexity and improved the overall user experience for subtitle selection in the player interface.
