Worked on the coturn/coturn repository to address a critical server stability issue related to ID generation. Focused on server development and bug fixing using C, the work involved identifying and resolving an infinite loop in the ns_turn_server.c file. By resetting the newid variable at the start of the do-while loop, the solution prevented server hangs when ur_map_get returned 1, ensuring reliable ID generation and improved uptime for production deployments. The fix was thoroughly patched and verified, reinforcing the robustness of the TURN server’s core logic. This contribution enhanced overall server reliability without introducing new features during the period.
