During April 2025, Bastian Ganze focused on strengthening WebSocket authentication and error handling across the clockworklabs/SpacetimeDB and spacetimedb-typescript-sdk repositories. He addressed issues where invalid authentication tokens could cause unreliable connection states by implementing robust token validation and ensuring that connection failures were handled gracefully. Using TypeScript and JavaScript, Bastian propagated error signals and improved error messaging, making debugging and live-connection management safer and more transparent. He also expanded test coverage to verify these error paths, aligning error handling logic across both repositories. This work deepened the reliability of API integration and SDK development for real-time database connections.
