Worked on enhancing backward compatibility in the abapGit/abapGit repository by addressing a bug that prevented HTTP service handlers from being saved and managed in older ABAP releases. Focused on ABAP backend development, the solution involved implementing ICF node linking for HTTP services, ensuring that environments running versions prior to ABAP 7.57 could deploy and maintain HTTP handlers without manual intervention. This targeted code change reduced deployment friction and aligned with ongoing stability efforts for legacy systems. The work demonstrated a strong command of ABAP and backend integration, emphasizing maintainability and risk reduction in diverse ABAP environments through precise bug resolution.
