During March 2025, Bear Chen focused on governance maintenance for the pingcap/tidb repository, specifically enhancing the accuracy of code ownership and review processes. Bear updated the OWNERS_ALIASES file, replacing a deprecated approver with the correct individual across multiple SIGs, which aligned responsibilities and reduced the risk of review delays. This work involved careful management of code ownership structures using Go and required a strong understanding of code review workflows. By ensuring that the right approvers were designated for each component, Bear improved the clarity and efficiency of the review process, contributing to more reliable and streamlined project governance.
