Developed an automated EID provisioning feature for the Wiwynn/OpenBIC repository, streamlining device onboarding by eliminating manual steps. The solution leveraged embedded systems expertise, using C to configure a GPIO interrupt that detects the WF_BIC_READY signal’s rising edge. Upon readiness, a kernel work item was scheduled to set the WF_BIC EID, ensuring seamless integration with SD-BIC for active EID assignment. This approach improved initialization speed and reliability by tightly coupling hardware readiness with provisioning logic. The work demonstrated proficiency in GPIO programming, interrupt handling, and system integration, delivering a focused enhancement to the device provisioning workflow within a month.
Month 2025-01: Delivered automation for WF_BIC EID provisioning on readiness for Wiwynn/OpenBIC. Implemented GPIO interrupt on WF_BIC_READY rising edge, scheduled a kernel work item to set the WF_BIC EID, and integrated with SD-BIC to actively assign the EID upon readiness. This modernization reduces manual provisioning steps, speeds up initialization, and improves reliability of WF_BIC device onboarding.
