Worked on the linuxmint/cinnamon-spices-applets repository, focusing on enhancing the reliability and maintainability of the Bash-sensors Applet. Addressed a key bug by implementing improved error handling and more robust command feedback, which reduced user-reported failures and support tickets. Migrated deprecated JavaScript APIs to modern alternatives, such as replacing Util.spawn_async with Util.spawnCommandLineAsyncIO and updating function binding methods, ensuring compatibility with current standards. Added comprehensive error logging to streamline debugging and support ongoing maintenance. The work was delivered with minimal disruption to existing workflows, leveraging JavaScript and front end development skills to improve both developer experience and user satisfaction.
